Mississippi Zine Fest

You are invited to the Mississippi Zine Fest, a student showcase of zines sponsored by the Starkville Area Arts Council, on Thursday, Dec 7 from 12pm-2pm. This year, the zine fest features student projects from 4 classes:

• Multi-Ethnic U.S. Literature (Dr. Dhanashree Thorat)
• Global Asias (Dr. Jordan Lynton Cox)
• Introduction to African American Studies (Bria Young)
• Introduction to Social Justice (Megan Phillips)

Zines are self-published, low-budget short works that are meant to circulate within a particular community. Zines are a creative form of self-expression. They can combine different elements such as critical essays, poetry, drawings, or collage to communicate their message.

Light refreshments will be served.
